Cart rollout shall be completed December 27, 2013. The Contractor <br />shall provide initial distribution of single stream carts to customers, <br />whether carts are owned by the City or the Contractor. <br />5.05. Collection <br />Curbside Dual Sort <br />Items shall be placed in paper kraft bags, City-provided blue <br />recycling bins, designated recycling carts or any other container not <br />exceeding 18 gallons in capacity that can reasonably be identified as <br />containing recyclable material to be collected. <br />Containers shall be placed at the curbside, as specified in 4.13, by <br />7:00 a.m. on the designated collection day. <br />On the designated collection day as specified in 5.08 and Exhibit A, <br />contractor shall empty all acceptable materials from container and <br />any acceptable materials that are placed adjacent to container, and <br />shall replace container at curbside as defined in 4.10 (not in the <br />street). <br />Free walk-up service as specified in 4.44 shall be provided for all <br />customers who request it. <br />The Contractor must conduct at least twice per year, or as agreed <br />upon by the City and the Contractor, curbside recycling bin checks. <br />For each recycling zone, the Contractor shall audit the contents of <br />bins from at least 25 households and leave education tags if any Non- <br />Targeted Materials are found in the bins. A log shall be kept of all <br />resident addresses where education tags were left and the addresses <br />shall be included in an annual report to the City. <br />Multiple Family Dwellings <br />Contractor will use containers as specified in 4.26. They shall be <br />located in multiple family dwelling recycling stations as specified in <br />4.28. <br />Contractor shall empty all acceptable materials from inside the <br />containers and acceptable materials that may be set adjacent to the <br />containers. After emptying the containers, the Contractor shall return <br />the containers to their appropriate locations. <br />Multiple Family Dwellings shall receive service once a week unless a <br />difference service frequency is agreed to by the City and the <br />17 <br /> <br />
