5.22. Single Stream Cart Ownership <br />The Contractor shall purchase, own, ship, assemble, deliver, <br />store/inventory, maintain and distribute the carts. Cart distribution <br />will be for both for the initial cart rollout and ongoing cart <br />replacements (e.g. new customers, service changes, replacement of <br />damaged carts, etc.) during the term of the contract. Ongoing cart <br />distribution shall be done on a weekly basis. <br />Proposers must clearly specify their proposed single-sort cart <br />manufacturer. The cart shall include hot-molded logos, and in-mold <br />label (IML) of recycling instructions per city approval. A reference <br />example of IML recycling instructions (e.g. from another existing <br />City recycling program) must be included with the education <br />material in the proposal packet (Section 6.05). <br />Damaged or unusable carts must be recycled. All costs incurred in <br />recycling carts shall be the responsibility of the Contractor, at no <br />additional cost to the City. The Contractor will provide <br />documentation showing the City where the carts were recycled. <br />At the end date of the contract period the carts shall become the <br />property of the City of Roseville for use in the next contract cycle. <br />5.23. Existing Bins, Lids and Wheel Kits <br />If the City accepts the Contractor’s single-stream proposal, the <br />existing bins at residential properties become property of the <br />homeowner. Unwanted bins may be returned to the city for recycling. <br />6. ANNUAL REPORTING AND PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES <br /> 6.01. Monthly and Annual Materials Reports <br />The Contractor will submit to the City monthly reports and annual <br />reports dealing with the City’s recycling program. At a minimum, the <br />Contractor shall include in each report the following information: <br />1.Gross amounts of materials collected, by recyclable material <br />(in tons) <br />2.Net amounts of materials marketed, by recyclable material (in <br />tons) <br />3.Amounts stored, by recyclable material, with any notes as to <br />unusual conditions (in tons) <br />4.The markets generally used for the sale of recyclables <br />24 <br /> <br />
