required to provide posters and other educational material for Multi <br />Family Dwelling owners, landlords or other designated contact <br />person to post in common areas. <br />The Contractor must be able to provide public education material in <br />languages other than English (e.g., Spanish, Hmong, Somali, Karen, <br />etc.). The City will work with the Contractor regarding the quantities <br />needed and the locations for distribution. <br />During the term of the contract the Contractor may be asked by the <br />City to make public appearances, provide information for local <br />environmental groups, or attend public events sponsored by the City. <br />Proposers shall describe their experience in providing <br />Collection services and Zero Waste services at community events <br />and what, if any, Collection opportunities could be provided at <br />Roseville community events or City-sponsored events, and whether <br />there would be a cost associated with the service. <br />In addition, proposers are encouraged to specify other public <br />education tools that they are willing to provide (e.g., recycling <br />education materials targeted for a specific neighborhood, targeting a <br />specific material type, etc.). <br />As part of this proposal, proposers shall provide examples of <br />public education materials they have developed for other <br />municipalities. <br />6.06. City Shall Approve Contractor’s Public Education Literature <br />The Contractor shall conduct its own promotions and public <br />education to increase participation (see also Sections 6.08 and 6.09). <br />The Contractor shall submit a draft of any public education literature <br />for approval by the City, at least one month before printing and <br />release of any such literature. <br />6.07. Annual Work Plan <br />The City and the Contractor shall develop a work plan annually. The <br />work plan shall include initiatives the Contractor will undertake to <br />improve the City’s recycling program. These initiatives may include <br />(but is not limited to) expansion of materials collected, voluntary <br />expansion to businesses, effective education of residents - with <br />measurement, community involvement, outreach to low participating <br />communities, and outreach using electronic communications.
