The City shall have the right, during the term of the Contract, to have <br />a representative on Contractor’s premises to monitor the operation of <br />the Contract. Such representative shall only be allowed on <br />Contractor’s premises during normal business hours. <br />7.06. End Market Certification <br />The Contractor shall provide in its Proposal and by January 31 of <br />each year through the term of the contract written certification to the <br />City that all recyclable commodities identified are indeed recycled <br />and not disposed. Such written certification shall identify all end <br />markets manufacturers or processors used for each of the recyclable <br />commodities. The Contractor shall attach written certification from <br />each end market and a list of products manufactured using the <br />recyclable materials collected from the City. The Contractor shall <br />specify the percentage of each material collected that goes to each <br />end market. Contractor must request in writing if it wishes to have <br />the certification be considered proprietary information. <br />8. PAYMENT AND DAMAGES <br />8.01. Term of Contract <br />The term of the new recycling contract will be a period of three years <br />from January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2016. Contractor may <br />submit an alternate proposal for a five-year contract covering January <br />1, 2014 through December 31, 2018. <br />8.02. Compensation for Services <br /> The City agrees to pay the Contractor for recycling collection <br />services provided to the City as described in the proposal, and made <br />part of an executed contract, based on the number of units certified <br />by the City. For 2013 the City certifies that there are 9,611 curbside <br />units that will receive service (see Attachment C). By December 1 of <br />each year the City will review the number of certified units and <br />notify Contractor of any changes. <br />Contractor shall submit itemized bills for recycling collection <br />services provided to the City on a monthly basis. Bills submitted <br />shall be paid in the same manner as other claims made to the City. <br />31 <br /> <br />
