Roseville, MN - Official Website <br />over the next 10-20 years, further impacting the City's tax base. <br />Councilmember Pust questioned if Mr. Neprash thought deliberations, <br />conclusions and recommendations at the PWET level would have been <br />different if comments were made available. <br />Mr. Neprash opined that, personally he believed it would have, just the <br />sheer weight of the comments and their substance, including the nature <br />of the entities providing comment. <br />Tim Callaghan, 3062 Shorewood Lane <br />Mr. Callaghan noted that he lived directly across Little Johanna from the <br />College; and expressed his disappointment with the general nature of the <br />comments, rather than lack of specifics from the College in their <br />responses; opining that they were very incomplete and vague. <br />Mr. Callaghan commented on the various plans presented throughout the <br />review; and questioned which site plan was accurate; specific location of <br />the proposed ball fields and field house; whether the ball field was <br />proposed to be moved adjacent to Lydia and potential safety impacts to <br />traffic along Lydia and homes in that area; and the existing significant <br />sound buffer of trees in place on the east side of the property and the <br />questioned the intent for those trees. <br />Mayor Klausing reminded Mr. Callaghan that all plans presented and <br />reworked by the applicant were in concept stage at this point; and that <br />tree preservation; landscaping; and building location would be completed <br />in accordance with City Code and permitting processes and monitored by <br />staff accordingly. <br />Mr. Callaghan reiterated his concerns with potential loss of existing <br />forested areas of the campus; addressed existing and potential noise <br />issues from the campus specific to sporting events, and impacts of any <br />significant tree buffers along the edge of the campus. <br />Mr. Callaghan questioned mitigation affects on traffic, and what the <br />college was proposing for realistic and affordable mitigation: at the <br />intersections at Lydia and Snelling as well as Fairview and Lydia. Mr. <br />Callaghan opined his concern about adding any additional lanes on Lydia <br />and potential impacts to the residential area, including access points, and <br />lights shining into residences along Lydia.
