• • <br />King of Kings Lutheran Church and School <br />Facility Expansion & Renovation <br />Supplemental Information <br />June, 2007 <br />King of Kings Lutheran Church and School dedicated the original chapel and school facility on <br />its current site in 1964. Since that time, the facility has been expanded twice; first in 1978 and <br />then in 1993. Currently the congregation at King of Kings numbers 740 baptized members, of <br />which 580 are communicant members. ln addition, King of Kings has 8 full-time called workers <br />and 5 part-time staff. <br />King of Kings offers two regular Sunday worship services; one at 8:30 a.m. and another at 11:00 <br />a.m. In 2006 the average attendance at the 8:30 a.m. service was approximately 160 while the <br />average attendance at the 11:00 a.m. service was approximately 165. The maximum attendance <br />at any one particular service in 2006 was 289. This occurred at an 11:00 a.m. service in early <br />.lune that celebrated the graduation of the Kindergarten and 8`" grade classes. <br />King of Kings also offers a K-8 elementary� school. Enrollment in the school for the 2006-2007 <br />academic year was 106 students, representing about 73 families. Typically the academic year <br />starts on the day after Labor Day and ends on the Friday after Memorial Day. Classes are held <br />between 8:15 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday with the usual breaks and vacations <br />throughout the year. Transportation of the students to and from the school is arranged by the <br />parents of the students or is provided by the Roseville Area School District. Each school day <br />during the 2006-2007 academic year approximately 5 students were transported to the school in <br />the morning by one bus and approximately 20 students were transported from the school in the <br />afternoon by three buses. In the morning all students are dropped off on-site at the west side of <br />the building. In the afternoon the buses pick up students on-site at the north side of the building <br />while all other students are picked up on-site at the south side of the building. Extended care is <br />offered before school between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. and after school between 3:00 p.m. and <br />5:00 p.m. On a typical school day during the 2006-2007 academic year approximately 50 <br />students used extended care between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., 30 students used extended care <br />between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., and 15 students used extended care between 4:00 p.m. and <br />5:00 p.m. Projected enrollment for the 2007-2008 academic year is 110 students. <br />
