This addition would be
the fourth time a construction project has been initiated at this site. The original building
was started in 1963; the Gymnasium being the first addition in 1978; and the Sanctuary
the most recent addition in 1992.
Ministry demands of this congregation have been felt for many years and the time has
come to add the sorely needed space to the existing facility. This project would provide
the space necessary for this congregation to serve its present membership in addition to
reaching out more fervently to the community.
This project consists of three major parts and their anticipated construction timeline:
• New Education Wing Addition March — September 2008
• Major Remodeling of Existing Facility June — September 2008
• Future Expansion 2013 — 2018
Rew Education Wing Addition
This one-story addition contains new offices, education and meeting spaces to better
facilitate the ministry needs of this congregation (refer to attached plans for additional
information). Its exterior finish will use the prominent synthetic stucco (EIFS) found on
the two additions with color and texture to match the existing building. Aecent features
and trim elements will be used as well. Aluminum windows and entrances will be the
exterior window and door system to match the existing fenestration.
In addition the main expansion, a new Gymnasium Storage Addition is proposed to be
located on the south side of the existing gymnasium. This addition will replace those
storage spaces lost in the major remodeling as well as supplemental storage needed by the
congregation. This addition will be built and finished in a similar manner as the main
education wing addition.
