Attachment I EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 18t" day of June, 2007, at 6:00 p.m. T�he following members were present: and the llowing were absent: Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION DENYING AN INTERIM USE PERMIT IN ACCORDANCE WITH §1012.09 OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR ROBERT DELEO AT 280 MINNESOTA AVENUE (PF07-024) WHEREAS, Robert DeLeo, is the owner of property at 280 Minnesota Avenue; and WHEREAS, the subject property is legally described as: MICHEL'S REARRANGEMENT OF LOTS 9 THROUGH 16, INCLUSIVE, MACKUBIN & IGLEHART ADDITION OF OUT LOTS T, SUBJECT TO EASEMENTS, THE WEST 100 FEET OF THE NORTH 227 FEET OF THE EAST 1/2 OF THE WEST 1/2 OF LOT 4 PIN: 12-29-23-43-0003 WHEREAS, the properiy owner seeks permission for using a motor home as temporary living quarters on property zoned R-1, Single-Family Residence District; and WHEREAS, the proposed temparary residence is not a permitted use in the R-1 District; and WHEREAS § 1012.09 of the City Code allows the approval of INTERIM USE PERMITS for temporary uses that are inconsistent with the Zoning Ordinance and the Comprehensive Plan but does not require the approval of such applications; and WHEREAS officials in the Roseville Police Department and the Building Division and Planning Division of the Community Development Department all have substantial concerns about such prohibited uses including: 1. Preservation of a healthy, sanitary living environment; 2. Reduced safety and security of motor homes or campers compared to permanent residential structures; 3. Increased demand on staff resources from addressing the concerns of inembers of the broader community; and Page 1 of 3 .�-. ---
