[location map] The variance request is prompted by the applicant's desire to construct a <br />detached garage adjacent to an undeveloped portion of the Rose Place right-of-way. <br />[survey] When the Livingstons tirst approached Community Development staff to figure <br />out what approvals they'd need to put a garage in this location, staff was unsupportive of <br />a variance because the possibility of a right-of-way vacation had not yet been explored. <br />Although there City staff initially supported the requested vacation, staff ultimately <br />withdrew support upon further consideration of potential future redevelopment of the <br />manufactures home park.
