Ms. Goodwin opined that, from a personal and professional position, by <br />s� putting liquor store in that location, it would only be increasing problems. <br />5e: Randy Neprash, 1276 Eldridge Avenue <br />57 Mr. Neprash asked that, while considering this application, the Commission could resolve another traffic <br />5a issue in the area, to eliminate one of the driveways into the shopping strip. Mr. Neprash advised that the <br />5Q minimal traffic island in between the two driveways did little to enhance traffic flow, and actually confused <br />so traffic. Mr. Neprash suggested striping the lot more effectively, at a minimum, to better define the two <br />�� areas. <br />s2 Chair Bakeman closed the Public Hearing. <br />6s Additional discussion among staff and Commissioners included distance requirements for licensing the <br />s=� site, of which staff advised there were none under current City Code, and therefore had not received <br />s5 consideration during staffs review of the CUP; and background checks of the applicant prior to licensure. <br />66 MOTION <br />s7 Member poherty moved, seconded by Member Gasongo to RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF A <br />6� CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT for Steve Allen for a proposed off-sale liquor store at 2217 Snelling <br />�� Avenue, to operate in compliance with requirements and regulations established in Roseville City <br />�o Code, Sections 1004.01G; and based on comments and findings of Sections 5 and 6 of the project <br />i � report dated February 6, 2008. <br />�2 It was the consensus of Commissioners that the land use fit within the CUP category; and noted that, at <br />�3 the City Council level, the well-researched background investigations by the Police Department would <br />�a facilitate a review of this applicanYs history in operating other facilities (i.e., a store in Minneapolis) for <br />�5 other non-land use concerns. <br />�6 Ayes:6 <br />�� Nays: 1 (Gottfried) <br />�� Motion carried. <br />�9 Chair Bakeman advised that the Case was scheduled to be heard by the City Council at its February 25, <br />so 2008 meeting. <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />
