<br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville must comply with the plans and regulations of <br />two watershed districts (and one water management organization) regarding surfac~ <br />water management (Rice Creek. Capitol Region and Grass Lake) wherein such plans <br />and regulations are currently being written or revised and will require administration <br />by the City of Roseville. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville as follows: <br /> <br />1. Prior to adopting a new Surface Water Management Plan, the City of Roseville <br />will continue to apply National Urban Runoff Program (NURP) standards for <br />the design of new storm water ponds and the MPCA Urban Best ManagemeIlt <br />Practices titled Protecting Water Quality in Urban Areas to review any proposed <br />development occurring in the City to reduce nonpoint source pollutant loadings <br />in storm water runoff. <br /> <br />2. The City of Roseville will incorporate these standards and requirements as <br />appropriate into the surface water management plan, after the water <br />management organizations have completed their plans and revisions. and <br />within land use controls to implement this policy as appropriate. <br /> <br />3. The City of Roseville will prepare and adopt specific amendments to its 1990! <br />Surface Water Management Plan within one year after the completion of the <br />watershed district and management organizations' plan approval. The <br />Metropolitan Council will be notified after the amendments have been adopted. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br />Maschka and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: . <br />Mastel.
