We are
fortunate to live in a neighborhood which is part of a beautifiil natural area, yet so close
to the city. When we were looking for a home, a 2 car garage was on the "must-have"
list. Well, that requirement went out the window wllen we found a well kept, affordable
home on Alameda Street in this neighborhood!
We are hoping to upgrade our home to increase the garage space. The rambler
remodeling book from the City of Roseville was helpfiil and provided many ideas. We
looked the different options, applied them to our site plan, and concluded that there are
two ways to achieve our goal. The first involves removing the existing garage and
constructing a driveway along the side of the house to a 2'/ car detached garage in the
back yard. The second option is to construct a 2 car garage attached to the front of our
home. The second plan also requires a 12 foot front yard setback variance. For reasons
explained in details attached to this application, we are pursuing the plan to add attached
garage space to the front of our home.
At this time we respectfully ask the Variance Board to review and approve the attached
Variance Application.
Sincerely,

+'/u- " 2-—
Peter Zer
; CL" :`( ' i
  t_
Melodee Zeller
