Rose Hill Alliance Church
Addition & Remodel
2105 Roselawn Avenue West
Roseville, MN 55113
Phone (651) 631-0173
The Rose Hill Alliance Church has been located on Roselawn Avenue since 1968. The congregation is
currently working with Miller Dunwiddie Architecture in developing Schematic Design Documents
encompassing a two phase addition, which includes:
• Phase 1: Entry addition, Elevator, Accessible toilet and gathering space renovation.
• Phase lb: Classroom addition, offices, library.
The attached drawings show the character and size of the proposed expansion. The location of the
expansion areas do not encroach upon the site setback requirements. Minimal impact to the existing
parking lot and drainage is proposed. The local Rice Creek Watershed District has been contacted and
has waived the need to permit the project (see attached email).
The function of the spaces within the addition will not increase the traffic or parking capacity of the site.
The site plan notes the parking requirements and the current parking lots provide sufficient spaces for
the activities of the church.
Building materials and forms are compatible with the existing structure. These include brick, aluminum
windows and entry doors, and metal entry roof. A significant landscaped entry area will provide for
visual identity of the entry as well as the possibility for smatl outdoor waiting. The use of sidewalk and
curb in the new areas will increase the safety of the entry area by clear distinction of vehicle and
pedestrian areas.
