REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br />DATE: 02/27/06 <br />ITEM NO: 3.h <br />Department Approval: City Manager Ap roval: Agenda Section: <br />TP/DPW /�Z� ��j�� CONSENT <br />Item Descriprion: Request by Big City Ventures LLC & Oops Theater for a CONDITIONAL <br />USE PERMIT in accordance with Section 1005.015 and Section 1013.01 of <br />_ the Roseville Ciry Code for property at 2801 Snelling Avenue (PF3709). <br />1.0 REQUESTED ACTION: <br />1.1 Big City Ventures LLC (Big City Tavern) & Oops Theater seeks approval of a <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT to allow a lower level banquet room to be used as a <br />dinner theater. <br />PROJECT REVIEW HISTORY <br />• Application Submitted & Determined Complete: O 1/26/06 <br />• 60-Day Review Deadline: 03/27/06 <br />• Project Report Recommendation: 02/O1/06 <br />• Planning Commission Action: (6-0) Approval Recommendation 02/Ol/06 <br />• Anticipated Council Action: 02/27/06 <br />2.0 SUMMARY OF RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />2.1 On February 1, 2006, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing <br />regarding the Big City Ventures/Oops Theater request and voted (6-0) to recommend <br />approval of a CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT in accordance with Section 1013.01 of <br />the Roseville City Code to allow a dinner theater (live entertainment) managed by Oops <br />Theater to occupy the lower lever banquet area at 2801 Snelling Avenue, sub'�ect to 5 <br />conditions. The Community Development Department concurs with the Planning <br />Commission recommendation. <br />3.0 SUGGESTED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: <br />3.1 ADOPT a RESOLUTION APPROVING a CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT in <br />accordance with Section 1013A1 of the Roseville City Code for Big City Ventures and <br />Oops Theater, 2801 Snelling Avenue, subject to conditions (see Section 8 for detailed <br />action). <br />PF3709_ RCA_022706.doc Page 1 of Lj <br />� <br />
