I have a
sugge!:on for improving i .
The definition of just what is a rental property subject to this
ordinance
is vague and inconsistent:
(1) If 1 own a four-plex and live in one of the units, then the entire
buifd r! is exempt, under revised Section 907.07. However, if I own and
live
in a sie^fe family house and rent out a room to an unrelated person,
that
house apparently NOT exempt under Sectian 907.07. Does that make
sensc
(2) If r own a second house that qualifies for the homestead credit
beca se
my r.;!!er Eives there, that house is exempt, However, if my mother
f2Cll r5
a pa€-, ' ime caregiver who also lives in the house in exchange for
redu-1
rent, th--n that house is NOT exempt. Simllarly, if my mother is living
with
her =.^cond husband (not my father), who contributes to household
expenses,
ther :,-!er Sedion 907.67 that house is NOT exempt. That does not seem
1 . T —__ _
r -------, -.
