In a typical year, the fair recycles 121 tons of cardboard, 495
tons of paper and 1,000 tons of compost. None of the waste generated at the fair goes to landfills."
Regarding our conversation of recycling bottles and cans at Park & Ride sites, just let me know which sites and I will see to it that
an extra trash box (with a trash bag inside) marked recycling for plastic bottles and cans will be there. I also heard that some
churches give away free bottles of water with the name of the church on them.
Just an FYI and I look forward to seeing you next Monday night.
Thanks for all your help in this matter,
Steve
Steve Grans
Transportation Manager
Minnesota State Fair
651-288-4463 (office)
651-603-6814 (fax)
steve.grans@mnstatefair.org
07/24/2006
