Attachment G <br />— Planning Commission Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Draft Minutes - Wednesday, December 6, 2006 <br />Call to Order <br />Planning Commission Chair Mark Traynor called to order the meeting of the Planning <br />Commission at approximately 6:30 p.m. and welcomed those in attendance; reviewing the <br />purpose of the meeting and the Public Hearing procedure. <br />Chair Traynor introduced staff; and welcomed applicants and members of the audience. <br />Roll Call & Introductions <br />City Planner Thomas Paschke called the Roll. <br />Members Present: Commissioners Ildephonse Gasongo; Jim Doherty; Mary Bakeman; Daniel <br />Boerigter; Dan Roe; Joe Wozniak; and Chair Mark Traynor. <br />Staff present: <br />Community Development Director John Stark; City Planner Thomas Paschke; Associate Planner <br />Bryan Lloyd; City Engineer Debra Bloom; and Recording Secretary, Sheila Stowell. <br />PLANNING FILE 3795 <br />Brian Ash seeks approval of a CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT in accordance with Roseville City <br />Code, §1013, to allow the construction of a 908-square-foot accessory structure at 2550 Snelling <br />Cu rve. <br />Chair Traynor opened the Public Hearing at for Planning File 3795. <br />Associate Planner Bryan Lloyd reviewed the request of Mr. Ash to construct a 908-square-foot <br />— detached garage. Mr. Lloyd noted that pursuant to City Code, §1004 (Residential Districts), a <br />Conditional Use Permit (CUP) is required for an accessory structure of this size. Mr. �loyd noted <br />that Ciry Code limits the size of an accessory structure to 864 square feet, however Code allows <br />for a larger structure (up to 1,008 square feet) with a CUP. <br />Staff recommended approval of the CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, pursuant to Roseville City <br />Code, §1013.01 (Conditional Use Permits), based on comments and fndings outlined in Section <br />7, and subject to the conditions detailed in Section 8 of the project report dated December 6, <br />2006. <br />Applicant <br />The applicant was in attendance, but had no comment, and the Commissioners had no questions <br />of the applicant. <br />No one appeared for or against; and Chair Traynor closed the Public Hearing. <br />MOTION: <br />Member poherty moved, seconded by Member Roe, to RECOMMEND APPROVAL of the <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, for Brian Ash, 2550 Snelling Curve, to allow the construction <br />of the proposed 908-square-foot accessory structure, based on comments and findings of <br />Sections 5 and 6, and conditions detailed in Section 7 of the project report dated <br />December 6, 2006. <br />Ayes: 7 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br />Chair Traynor advised that the case would come before the City Council on January 8, 2007. <br />
