The <br />roofline and exterior of the porch will match the rest of the house for an <br />integrated look. The windows on the front of the house are all being replaced so <br />the windows on the house and porch will match. Expanding the porch will serve <br />multiple purposes. During the summer, we spend much of our time on the porch. <br />This will give us more usable space. It will also allow us to have a larger portion <br />of the stairs leading to the porch covered to shelter them. The porch will be one <br />floor higher than the ground level in the front of the house. It will be on pillars so <br />it won't take up any additional ground space. <br />
