Comcast Webmail - Email Message
From: "Christer Cederberg"
To: <craigklausing@comcast.net>, <amyihlan@comcast.net>, <tom.kough@ci.roseville.mn.us>,
<tammy.pust@ci.roseville.mn.us>, <dan.roe@comcast.net>
CC: <Tom.McDaniel , <julie.mcdaniel
Subject: Re: Variance on Owasso Hills Drive
Date: Monday, February 26, 2007 4:35:48 PM
Dear Mayor and Council Members,
I am a neighbor of Tom and Julie McDaniel, who request a variance. I
spoke up at the previous council meeting where this topic was discussed.
I also listened to objections from council members. Unfortunately I
travel this week and cannot participate in person.
First, the variance should be granted since it does not affect the
wetlands or environment.
Second, I was very disappointed a the previous meeting that
unsubstantiated, generalized environmental concerns would be able to
stop a request like this.
Yes, we should care about nature, wetlands and wildlife, but we do that
where it makes a difference.
When city officials emphasize the space in between "wet" and "lands" on
a map, and therefore it is not what we might have believed, then the
city is losing touch with reality and its residents. Do I need the best
lawyers in interactions with my own city. It should be my trusted
friend.
McDaniel's suffered significant damage to their nice backyard trees due
to inappropriate water control by the city. I feel sorry for them.
Paae 1 of 2
http://mailcenter.comcast.nef/wmc/v/wm/45 E365A70001261D00O03 D9D22007374789D0... 2/26/2007
