We wish to reconstruct the garage 3-6 feet back to make up for the 5 feet of the existing driveway
that will be taken by this summer's road reconstruction. We feel it necessary to add additional
parking for guests as, after the road reconstruction, there will be no on-street parking. We also
feel that, even though a new gazage set 3-6 feet back further than the existing one, it will not be
"up to code" as the garage will still not be 20 feet from the right-of-way, it will be back farther
than the existing garage and will, therefore, be an improvement to the existing conditions.
We have received a demolition permit from Community Development and the demolition will be
completed by the T. A. Schifsky and Sons/Arnt (the same contractors doing the road
reconstruction.) The garage will be built by First Landmark.
Both Karl Keel and Jay Kennedy have been working with us to solve our garage/parking dilemma.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their help and support. We urge you to
visit the site or to ask their opinions.
Thank you for your consideration.
p -...,
w
via B. Booms
Lisa W. Booms
300 S.
