<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was dilly called held at the City Hall on Monday, the 13th <br />day of September, 1999 at 6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Mastel, Wiski, Goedeke <br />and the following were absent: Mayor Wall <br /> <br />Council Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9687 <br />RESOLUTION PROVIDING CONCEPT APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT <br />TO PUD #1124, NORTHWESTERN COLLEGE, FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A FOUR <br />STORY, 40,000 SQUARE FOOT, OFFICE AND RADIO BUILDING <br />ON PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF L YDIA AVENUE AND <br />SNELLING AVENUE NORTH, CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Northwestern College is requesting a concept development plan approval for an <br />amendment to the existing Planned Unit Development #1124 for property located in the southwest <br />comer of Lydia Avenue and Snelling Avenue North, City ofRoseville, Ramsey County, Minnesota <br />(PF3144); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Northwestern College is requesting an amendment to the former PUD <br />Agreement allowing an increase in square footage and height of the proposed office/radio building <br />on the southwest parcel at the intersection of Lydia Avenue and Snelling Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of the amendment is to accommodate the construction of a four- <br />story, 40,000 square foot office and radio building including surface level parking and a single story <br />parking deck (rather than a three-story building encompassing 27,000 square feet as originally <br />approved); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission conducted a public hearing for this request <br />on September 8, 1999 and recommended Council approval of the request based on the project report <br />findings and conditions as outlined in the project report dated September 8, 1999, as follows: <br /> <br />1. The use of the comer parcel for a four-story office structure is consistent with the <br />Comprehensive Plan, Title 10 of the City Code (Zoning), including the City's design <br />standards, and is a compatible design for the neighborhood. <br /> <br />2. Once complete the parking lot will no longer be permitted to accommodate overflow <br />parking. The 10 designated parking spaces located adjacent to Lincoln Drive will also be <br />required to be removed. Any student resident vehicles over and above the 46 determined by <br />Staffwill have to be located on another lot within the Northwestern College campus. <br /> <br />3.
