September 24, 2009
Boater's Outlet
Attn: Glen Kloskin
1705 Ccunty Road C
Roseville, MN 55113
Dear Mr. Kloskin,
0
1s
_

I've been working on your application to allow the outdoor storage of boats as a conditional use
at the Boater's Outlet facility at 1705 County Road C, and we're on pace to bring the application
to the Planning Commission on October 7th and then to the City Council on October 19`h
The City Planner, Community Development Director, and I have talked about your previously
approved Interim Use Permit (IUP). Since the City had established a moratorium on outdoor
storage priar to your application, the only option available at the time to allow Boater's Outlet to
store boats outside was an IUP — which is, by definition, only a temporary approval. Because the
official action by the City to enact a moratorium, which was not specifically targeting your
property or your land use, prevented you from seeking a permanent approval for outdoor storage
at the start, we've determined that it's reasonable to ask you pay a$250 application fee for the
current conditional use application; this amount is the difference between the current $600
application fee for conditional use requests and the $350 fee you paid with the IUP application in
2004. To this end, I have enclosed the check you submitted for the full $600 application fee.
Please submit instead a check in the amount of $250, payable to City of Roseville.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call me at 651-792-7073.
Sincerely,
CITY OF ROSEVILLE
Bryan Lloyd
Associate Planner
City of Roseville Community Development Department
2660 Civic Center Drive : Roseville, Minnesota 55113
651-792-7005 •: www.ci.roseville.mn.us/development
