—..
.
Variance at 1830 Oxford reet Final Review
Here's that variance request again. It's a pretty basic encroachment into the required front yard setback with impervious
coverage that'll remain well under the 30% limit. Again, in the current zoning update process, we're considering making
provisions that would permit open porches like this to extend up to 8 feet into the front setback, so feel free to
comment on that in addition to the current variance proposal.
I don't see any issue with it. It will bring a great design element to the house.
Pat Trudgeon
No additional comments.
Bryan Lloyd
Associate Planner
Jeff Evenson
No Comments
Don Munson, Building Official
I like the idea of allowing 8' open porches.:
- Should define open (can enclose below the floor line, might need guardrails, but allowed to have screens?).
- Allow overhangs as per existing Zoning Ord.
- Will the 6' allowance for closed construction still be allowed?
Other than that:
- Building permit required.
- Survey or verification of front property line required PRIOR to permit issuance.
Dean Findell—Engineering Project Coordinator
No issues at this time.
