<br /> <br /> <br />Acorn Park <br />Implementation Planning Session One <br />30 May 2013 <br />13 Attendees Signed In <br /> <br />Meeting summary <br /> <br />Following an overview of the Parks and Recreation Renewal Prograand the key directions <br />of the Parks and Recreation System Master Plan, meeting particip <br />respond to questions about potential improvements. <br /> <br />Exercise One Issues <br /> <br />As a group focused on a park, participants were asked to identif <br />playground area or the park in general: <br /> <br />Group One <br /> Signage on disc golf course <br /> Recycle bins along the trail <br /> Culling dead/damaged trees <br /> Clearing brush/line of sight on trail curves <br /> Erosion on course hills/clean up of trails after storm <br /> Playground equipment for older kids (8-12) <br /> Warming house needs updating and better maintenance <br /> Dog litter dispenser at entrances <br /> Trash, etc. at Wiewers entrance <br /> Additional parking <br /> Lights on ice rink <br /> Winter maintenance of all trails <br />Group Two <br /> More focused basketball court lights <br /> Improve course or remove <br /> Enforce park rules <br />Group Three <br /> Hole #12 tee on trail interferes with trail use <br /> Too much underbrush <br /> Basketball court too close to residential structures. Move it! <br /> More opening/natural picnic/playground areas <br /> No access to Western <br /> Better and more permanent restrooms <br /> All trails should be 8 to 10 wide <br /> More parking <br /> <br /> <br />
