<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />ofRoseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called held at the City Hall on <br />Monday, the 22nd day of May, 2000, at 6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mastel, Maschka, Wiski, Goedeke and Kysylyczyn <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Council Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9773 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR US WEST <br />WIRELESS TO CONSTRUCT A 67 FOOT TALL MONOPOLE AND <br />ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT UNITS AT 2851 SNELLING AVENUE NORTH. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, US West Wireless has requested approval to construct a 67 foot tall <br />monopole (single pole antenna) and associated equipment units on property addressed at <br />2851 Snelling Avenue North; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 1012.10A4 requires commercial receiving and transmitting <br />antenna not located on a City tower to receive and conditional use permit; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed monopole would be a maximum height of 67 feet and <br />the equipment area would encompass an area four feet by ten feet and be five feet in <br />height; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the site, located in Comprehensive Plan District #10 (with a <br />Comprehensive Plan designation of B) is zoned B-2, Retail Business District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on <br />the request on Wednesday, May 10,2000, and recommended approval of the requested <br />conditional use permit (subject to conditions); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council received the Planning Commission's <br />recommendation on Monday, May 22, 2000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council made the following findings: <br /> <br />1. The applicant proposes a 67-foot tall monopole in the rear (west side) yard <br />area of the Countryside Restaurant. An associated four-foot by ten foot area is <br />required for equipment storage (cabinets) and is also a part of the conditional <br />use permit application. The equipment supports the monopole and would not <br />exceed five feet in height. Section 1012.10A4 of the Roseville Zoning <br />Ordinance regulates private commercial antennas and towers. <br />
