5. Park and Recreation Renewal Program Preliminary Plans and General Discussion
All Parks and Recreation Renewal Program Preliminary Plans for all parks are complete, with the
exception of Rosebrook Park, Southwest Roseville and Tamarack Park which will require
additional community/neighborhood discussions.
With the approval of a contract with LHB, Inc., the final design and detailed plans and
specifications for all renewal projects are in progress.
LHB proposed a Value Add to deliver 1 test project within a 5 week timeframe. Lexington Park
has been selected as that project and is underway. Included in your packet are some bubble
drawings with final plans expected to be brought to the meeting on September 7 for your review,
feedback and consideration. We expect to bring them then to the City Council in September for
their review and consideration to seek proposals for construction. We will be prepared to review
Lexington Park final design with you at your meeting.
The final design and construction packaging for the remaining projects in the Renewal Program
are expected to be complete in late November or early December with seeking proposals for
construction to follow.
Any additional progress on the Renewal Program will be reported at the meeting. Comments,
questions and suggestions from the Commission are welcome and encouraged.
Requested Commission Action: Discuss progress, plans, provide input, and consider a
recommendation on final design.
6. Recap of Joint Meeting with the City Council
This is a continued discussion from your August meeting regarding your June 10joint meeting with
the City Council.
Requested Commission Action: Discussion.
7.
