In the best <br />141 situation AHR interns would take notes but their availability in the fall was limited. <br />142 <br />143 <br />144 ' ' Lohman encouraged the <br />145 Commission to heavily advertise the event to draw a diverse group of immigrants from the <br />146 community. ' <br />147 ron�r.ao.a <br />148 <br />149 Discussion of program implementation in Roseville: —Vice Chair Brisbois stated she was <br />150 pleased with the conversation at the Falcon Heights community dialogue and was especially <br />151 pleased with the stature of the Falcon Heights residents who were present, such as the police <br />152 chief and council members. She expressed some confusion on if the Falcon Heights <br />153 Conversation since she thought that program was conducted for study purposes. <br />154 <br />155 Ms. Lohman explained that information gathered from the Falcon Heights event would possibly <br />156 be used in a report by AHR and the report was due in January of 2014. <br />157 <br />158 Regarding _ getting word out on this program, Chair Grefenberg related that a council member had <br />159 suggested that the Commission contact the state agencies who relate to communities of color and <br />160 ask for their assistance in communicating information on this program. <br />161 <br />162 Grefenberg discussed the recent Community Dialogues on Creating a Safe & Connected <br />163 Community He noted the first event was well attended <br />164 with 45 residents in attendance, while the second event had 12 residents in attendance. He stated <br />165 it would be ' critical this time for the Commission to aggressively- advertise <br />166 this event to the immigrant community and te. ;__+ores+ f- ffl,-.-, a variety of immigrant groups, <br />167 as well as other newcomers and the general 4-Roseville community. <br />168 <br />169 Ms. Lohman encouraged the Commission to speak with the Falcon Heights HRC to discuss their <br />170 outreach methods. Further discussion ensued regarding how to reach immigrant communities. <br />171 <br />172 Ms. Curti asked if children should be welcomed at the event. <br />173 <br />174 Ms. Lohman stated the Roseville HRC could offer childcare or open the event to children as this <br />175 may encourage more immigrants to attend the event. <br />176 <br />177 Ms. Curti suggested the possibility of this Community Conversation beii held on <br />178 a Saturday morning to encourage higher attendance. <br />179 <br />180 Grefenberg mentioned that the problem with the last Community Dialogue hosted by the <br />181 Commission was the difficulty of recording the small group discussions and summarizing major <br />
