34 2.3 HOUSING AND NEIGHBORHOODS GOALS & POLICIES <br />35 Policy 2.3: Support housing renovation, redevelopment, and /or infill projects that <br />36 complement existing neighborhood character and improve neighborhood desirability and <br />37 longevity. <br />38 2.4 ROSEVILLE HRA STRATEGIC PLAN <br />39 Policy 2.2 of the Housing and Neighborhoods chapter of the Comprehensive Plan <br />40 mandates the creation of programs for rehabilitating and upgrading existing housing <br />41 stock. Roseville's Housing Program Coordinator, Jeanne Kelsey, has highlighted the <br />42 following objective of the HRA Strategic Plan. <br />43 Objective IIIb: Maintain and encourage a mix of housing types in each neighborhood by <br />44 directly purchasing available properties for demolition and supporting new home <br />40 construction. <br />46 2.5 ROSEVILLE HOUSING REPLACEMENT PROGRAM <br />47 As a manifestation of the above HRA Strategic Plan objective, the HRA has recently <br />48 adopted the Roseville Lot /Sale Replacement Program to guide its activities. A copy of the <br />49 program's overview documentation is included with this staff report. <br />5o 3.0 RECOMMENDATION <br />51 Receive this report of the Planning Commission's determination that the proposed <br />52 acquisition and disposal of 1840 Hamline Avenue through the Roseville Lot /Sale <br />53 Replacement Program is in compliance with the 2030 Comprehensive Plan. <br />54 4.0 POSSIBLE COUNCIL ACTIONS <br />55 4.1 By motion, receive the report of the Planning Commission's determination that the <br />56 proposed acquisition and disposal of 1840 Hamline Avenue through the Roseville <br />57 Lot /Sale Replacement Program is in compliance with the 2030 Comprehensive Plan <br />58 as recommended. <br />59 4.2 Pass a motion to table the item for future action. Tabling will have no impact on <br />60 meeting the statutory requirement, as it merely mandates that the Planning Commission's <br />61 findings be reported to the City Council within 45 days of its review. The statute does not <br />62 require the City Council to accept or take any action based on the report. <br />R11 4.3 Pass a motion to reject the report.
