262 5. System Operation: Responsibilities of the Parties <br />263 5.1 General /Overview <br />264 5.1.1 The County will own and operate the System, as defined in this Agreement, <br />265 for the use and benefit of the Members. This section delineates the <br />266 responsibilities of the County and the Members for the procurement and <br />267 operation of hardware, software, and services necessary for the System. <br />268 5.1.2 The County and the Members will ensure that their equipment used to <br />269 access and use the System meets standard specifications established by the <br />270 CAD System Vendor, and that equipment is in good working order, software <br />271 is up -to -date and services are managed to meet agreed -upon service levels. <br />272 5.1.3 In order to meet the requirements of 5.1.2, the County and the Members will <br />273 develop and implement refresh cycles for equipment and budget for needed <br />274 software upgrades, maintenance and services. <br />275 <br />5.1.4 <br />The County will ensure that its CAD operations are sufficiently resourced and <br />276 <br />budgeted to fulfill the terms of this Agreement. <br />277 <br />5.1.5 <br />All Parties to this Agreement will make internal practices, books, and records <br />278 <br />available for audit as authorized or required by this Agreement and <br />279 <br />applicable law. <br />280 <br />5.1.6 <br />All Parties to this Agreement will work cooperatively to address audit <br />281 <br />findings. <br />282 <br />5.2 CAD System <br />283 <br />5.2.1 <br />The CAD System provides functionality such as call input, call dispatching, call <br />284 <br />status maintenance, base map, event notes, field unit status and tracking, <br />285 <br />and call resolution and disposition. <br />286 <br />5.2.2 <br />County Responsibilities. The County is responsible for procuring and <br />287 <br />maintaining the following CAD System hardware, software, and related <br />288 <br />services: <br />289 <br />5.2.2.1 Computing hardware, platform and systems capable of running <br />290 <br />the CAD server and client software per the CAD System Vendor's <br />291 <br />standard specifications for the version in use. <br />292 <br />5.2.2.2 CAD System firmware updates. <br />293 <br />5.2.2.3 Operating system (OS) software that runs on the CAD computing <br />294 <br />hardware, and appropriate licensing for the OS software. <br />295 <br />5.2.2.4 Centralized CAD software applications that run on the computing <br />296 <br />platform (server software). <br />297 <br />5.2.2.5 Applications that are licensed to the County as part of the System. <br />298 <br />5.2.2.6 Licenses to use the CAD software at dispatch stations /consoles, <br />299 <br />and the ongoing maintenance of that software. <br />CAD and Mobile Data Agreement Ramsey County and User Members Page 8 of 48 <br />
