531 <br />5.8.1.2 County Responsibilities <br />532 <br />5.8.1.2.1 The County is responsible for procuring and <br />533 <br />maintaining secured WAN connections needed to <br />534 <br />support the System (for example, to the State). <br />535 <br />5.8.1.3 Member Responsibilities <br />536 <br />5.8.1.3.1 Each Member is responsible for procuring and <br />537 <br />maintaining any necessary secured WAN connections <br />538 <br />from their site(s) to the ECC in order to access the <br />539 <br />System. <br />540 <br />5.8.1.3.2 Moves, additions, and changes to WAN connections <br />541 <br />that are initiated by a Member are the responsibility of <br />542 <br />that Member. <br />543 <br />5.8.2 Firewall systems are used to help keep a network secure. The primary <br />544 <br />objective is to control the incoming and outgoing traffic by determining <br />545 <br />whether data packets should be allowed through. <br />546 <br />5.8.2.1 County Responsibilities. The County will provide and maintain <br />547 <br />firewall systems for the ECC and backup ECC sites. <br />548 <br />5.8.2.2 Member Responsibilities. Members who wish to have a dedicated <br />549 <br />WAN connection to the System must provide and maintain their <br />550 <br />own firewall systems at their locations. <br />551 <br />5.8.3 Routing systems forward data packets between different types of networks, <br />552 <br />such as from WANs to LANs. For this System, routing services are required at <br />553 <br />the ECC and at the backup dispatch facility. The County is responsible for <br />554 <br />these systems. <br />555 <br />5.8.4 local area network (LAN) infrastructure consists of network cabling, local <br />556 <br />wireless (e.g., WiFi), and switching systems within a building. <br />557 <br />5.8.4.1 County Responsibilities. The County is responsible for LAN <br />558 <br />infrastructure at the ECC. <br />559 <br />5.8.4.2 Member Responsibilities. Each Member is responsible for LAN <br />560 <br />systems within the Member's own facilities. <br />561 <br />5.8.5 Antivirus services protect operating systems and other software from <br />562 <br />malicious code. <br />563 <br />5.8.5.1 The County and all Members are individually responsible to <br />564 <br />maintain antivirus services on all computing devices that access <br />565 <br />the System. Those antivirus services must meet all applicable <br />566 <br />state and federal requirements. <br />567 <br />5.8.5.2 The County and all Members have the right to disconnect <br />568 <br />systems /hardware /devices found to be compromised in a way <br />569 <br />that poses an immediate threat. <br />CAD and Mobile Data Agreement Ramsey County and User Members Page 15 of 48 <br />
