491 monitors, printers, etc.) that is received through the Fire <br />492 Department Alerting process. <br />493 5.7.2 County Responsibilities. The County is responsible for the following: <br />494 5.7.2.1 Related to Fire Department Alerting services, the County will <br />495 provide and maintain all necessary software and equipment <br />496 (servers, routers, radio systems, two -tone paging systems, digital <br />497 messaging systems, etc.) required at the ECC to operate a <br />498 communications gateway that interfaces with the CAD System to <br />499 generate and transmit messages /alerts to remote Fire Station <br />500 Controllers and /or devices using both primary /secondary means <br />501 of communications (existing data networks, radio systems, phone <br />502 lines, etc.). <br />503 5.7.2.2 Related to Fire Department Alerting services at fire station <br />504 locations, the County is responsible to provide and maintain a <br />505 device (Fire Station Controller) to receive dispatched calls at each <br />506 fire station that uses an alerting system. <br />507 5.7.3 Members Responsibilities. Each Member is responsible for the following: <br />508 5.7.3.1 Fire Station Alerting — each Member that utilizes Fire Station <br />509 Alerting is responsible for providing and maintaining all <br />510 connections and peripherals beyond the Fire Station Controller <br />511 that are used to disseminate the alert. Peripherals may include <br />512 such items as speakers, lights, menu boards, monitors, printers, or <br />513 any device that the Fire Station Controller communicates with in <br />514 the fire station. <br />515 5.7.3.2 Fire Department Paging — each Member that utilizes fire <br />516 department two -tone voice paging is responsible for providing <br />517 and maintaining all devices necessary to receive two -tone voice <br />518 pages from the ECC. <br />519 5.7.3.3 Fire Department Messaging — each Member that utilizes fire <br />520 department messaging (email, text, SMS, etc.) is responsible for <br />521 providing and maintaining all devices necessary to receive digital <br />522 messages from the ECC. <br />523 5.8 Network Infrastructure <br />524 5.8.1 A Wide Area Network (WAN) is a telecommunication network that covers a <br />525 broad area. <br />526 5.8.1.1 The point of WAN demarcation between the County and a <br />527 Member is the firewall system designated to support the <br />528 CAD /Mobile Data /AVL /Fire Alerting System at the Member's <br />529 location.
