<br />The City Council indicated interest in making the position full time in the beginning <br />and house the position in the Administration Department. The Commission expressed <br />support for a full time volunteer coordinator position reiterating the benefits of starting <br />smaller in Parks and Recreation in order to capitalize and build on the experience that <br />parks and recreation has working with volunteers. <br /> <br /> <br />7.OTHER <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Chair Holt thanked the Friends of Roseville Parks (FOR Parks) for their efforts on a <br />great Gala event on November 14, 2013 at the Skating Center. It was well attended, <br /> <br />amazing entertainment and was a fundraiser for the Roseville Park System. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />M. Holt recognized the spectacular OVALumination and thanked the Roseville <br />Visitors Association for their efforts in coordinating and executing the program. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />M. Holt announced the “Pour for Parks” fundraising event that FOR Parks is working <br />on for next year. It will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. <br />at the Skating Center (outside on the OVAL) and will feature tents, craft beer tasting, <br /> <br />entertainment and lots of fun. <br /> <br /> Meeting adjourned at 7:55 pm <br /> Respectfully Submitted, <br /> Lonnie Brokke, Director <br /> <br />
