MEMORANDUM <br />To:Parks and Recreation Commission <br />From:Lonnie Brokke <br />Date:December 30, 2013 <br /> <br />Re: Notes for Commission MeetingonTuesday, January 7, 2014 <br />Introductions <br />1. <br />Commissioners and staff will be introduced. <br />2. <br />Public Comment Invited <br />Public participation and public comment is encouraged. <br />3. <br />Approval of Minutes of the December 3, 2013Meeting <br />Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of December 3, 2013.Please be prepared to approve or amend. <br />Requested Commission Action <br />:Approve/amend meetingminutesof December 3, 2013. <br />4. <br />Park and Recreation Renewal Program Preliminary Plans and General Discussion <br />The plan sets and proposal packages are nearing the 100% completion for all of the Renewal Program <br />projects and are on schedule to seekproposals in January 2014. <br />Included in your packet is a spreadsheet of identified trail projects that will be included in the Request for <br />Proposals (RFP’s). Staff will provide you with an overview at the meeting. <br />Any additional progress on the Renewal Program will be reported at the meeting. Comments, questions <br />and suggestions from the Commission are welcome and encouraged. <br />Requested Commission Action <br />:Hear update, discuss and provide advice. <br />5. <br />Communications Plan Discussion <br />At your last meeting there was discussion on the needand value of providing a good communications plan <br />for the department and Commission as we all embark on the Renewal Program. Commissioner Gelbach <br />offered his assistance. Gelbach and Assistant Director Anfang have met and discussed this effort.
