Approve Minutes of <br />January Meeting <br />Human Rights Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Revised DRAFT — January 15, 2014 — Revised DRAFT <br />Commissioners: Vice Chair Scot Becker, Jill Brisbois (arrived 6:40 p.m.), Michele <br />Courneya, Gary Grefenberg, Chair Wayne Groff, �David <br />Sin�leton, and Kaying Thao <br />Youth Commissioners: <br />Commissioners Absent: <br />Staff Present: <br />Call to Order <br />Joan Dao, and Sarah Thomas <br />Sungmoon Lim <br />Kari Collins <br />The Human Rights Commission (HRC) meeting was called to order at 6:30p.m. Chair Wayne <br />Groff requested commissioners introduce themselves. <br />Approve A�enda <br />Commissioner Garv Grefenberg requested a change to the agenda adding the civic engagement <br />report as Item Number 6� after the Program Planning Committee update. Commissioner <br />Grefenberg requested the other items on the agenda be re-numbered accordingly. <br />Commissioner Grefenberg moved and Commissioner Michele Courneya seconded a motion to <br />approve the agenda as amended. Motion passed unanimously. . <br />Approve Minutes <br />Commissioner David Singleton moved and Vice Chair Scot Becker seconded a motion to <br />approve the minutes of November 20, 2013 as distributed. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Public Comment <br />There being no one present wishing to speak to the Commission on an item not on the agenda, <br />the chair moved to the next agenda item. <br />Standin� Committee °-�� Renorts <br />Program Planning Committee: Commissioner Courneya noted there were no changes from the <br />last meeting in November. <br />45 Grefenberg added that at the January 6 Ciry Council meeting, Council Member Bob Willmus <br />46 requested the Commission inquire as to why a Roseville school had dropped out of the essay <br />47 contest. Commissioner Grefenberg also relayed �e-a recommendation to the Commission � <br />48 from Council Member Willmus, that the Commission make more of a concerted effort to involve <br />
