. , .

George Warner~ 2658 Huron St., asked what would be the zoning of Howard
Johnson Park?

John Kyslycian, Victoria Ave., asked for details of the cost of the consultant
contract? What is the final cost? When is the final phase of the Task Force? (In
the year 2000) What is down grading of zoning in the mobile home park?

Sheila Mahnken~ mobile home park~ asked why the process is reversed? What are
the number of years to build a city center? Why did the Task Force not look at St.
Paul Recreation Centers? Why is there a "market place" included? Why is the
area south of "C"~ west of the mobile home park not included? Who are the
organizations that will be contacted to provide input? Why should businesses pay
for renovations? Not many of the organizations listed were located in the study
area. Did resident or city needs start the process?

Wendell Brown, Griggs Ave., explained that the Task Force has planned and
fairly treated the topics.

Dick Houck, 1133 Rose1awn, stated this is premature because all Roseville
residents have not been told what will happen and what it will cost. Nine months
planning is too short of a time. He explained that the city previously held
citywide meetings on the road reconstruction. Table this. Do not give the City
Council a recommendation. Take no action.

Bill Lonsky~ 2725 Dellwood Ave.~ stated no action should be taken. Postpone
your recommendation and vote. This is a confusing project. Why should the vote
be biased by the Task Force?

Karen Bahniman, Lexington Ave., said she was opposed.

George Warner, 2658 Huron St., stated the project was premature and should not
be recommended. The area should be smaller and include only the city site.

John Kyslycian, Victoria St., stated that the issue should be tabled. There are
questions to be answered. The area is too large~ should start smaller and with a
finite plan. The Burlington Northern line will be abandoned. The state and state
agencies, then county have first options on the railroad line. Light rail time-lines
are a guess. There are assumptions that have been made. The trailer park
ordinance (ss327c) is unclear. The county sheriff and state may ask to build a
building on the city center site. The county wants a countywide dispatch and
police facility with jail and courthouse. Buildings are not a source of pride.

Karla Miller, 2133 Avon St., said she was not allowed to speak at the Task Force
meetings. She is a VFW and American Legion member and bikes to work. She
likes Roseville as it is.
