<br />The City Center should include: <br />Food I Beverage establishments <br />Not just a snack bar <br />Family style restaurant <br />Coffee shop I Cafe ( Caribou Coffee) <br />, Ice cream <br /> <br />The City Center should be connected to Roseville Circulator transit service. <br /> <br />North of County Road C2, Roseville is oriented to Shoreview. We need to engage these <br />neighborhoods in the process. <br /> <br />The City Center should be a focal point for people's lives. <br />Music, Dance, Arts <br />City government - yes <br /> <br />The City Center process needs to have maximum community input. <br /> <br />The City Center process will provide many challenges ahead. <br /> <br />Environmental concerns cut across al1 committees. <br /> <br />Pathways and linkages are an important part of the community. <br /> <br />Roseville has a real "Sense of community". <br /> <br />Burlington Northern Rail Line has great potential. The City could bring back a trolley or <br />stearn train to link to other parts of the Twin Cities. <br />Automobile congestion is a concern. Alternative transit modes should be integrated into <br />the planning and design of the City Center. <br /> <br />Tax Base - Will tax revenues increase? What new revenue can be created? <br />Historic tax situation <br />What new stresses will be put on city resources? <br />What new costs will occur from these stresses? <br />Planning <br />Snow Removal <br />Inspections <br /> <br />Concern that we do not taking park land for development. <br /> <br />What is government's role in this type of development? <br />Does the public sector have the necessary business expertise or development knowledge? <br /> <br />Will the City Center create competition for Rosedale Center? <br />
