There is a need for more housing families and seniors. A retirement <br />center. <br />Define housing carefully. <br /> <br />The June 1998 Community Survey suggested that 52% of respondents did not want hotel. <br /> <br />We should look to neighboring communities as models; White Bear Lake? <br /> <br />City Center businesses need to illustrate their benefit for the community. <br /> <br />There is an issue of <<bigness". How big should the City Center be? <br /> <br />Development and Redevelopment often brings perceived and real traffic congestion. The <br />City Center strategy needs to define the pace and timing of development, so that the <br />support infrastructure can absorb it. <br /> <br />Does the current zoning support the concept of the City Center. What new zoning <br />categories or guidelines need to be in place to support the concept. <br /> <br />The City Center should preserve or add to the aesthetics ofRoseville. <br />Make the community more attractive. <br />Enhance, expand Central Park <br />Preserve Wetlands, don't disrupt the environment. <br /> <br />Create something uniquely Roseville. <br />Integrate environment into buildings. <br /> <br />Trails / pathways an important part ofRoseville. People need to be given an alternative to <br />the automobile. <br /> <br />Shoreview has a great community center. People really love it. <br /> <br />Roseville needs a community center like Shoreview <br /> <br />Brooklyn Center also has an attractive community facility. <br /> <br />Roseville needs an auditorium space. <br />
