What is the primary use?

Lois Sinn Lindquist asked for more interactive discussion.

Kim described a new development at 50th at 'France, within the southeast
Minneapolis quadrant. This project has two stories and parking behind
the building.

Kim also distributed the commuter rail consultant study and the linkage
from Minneapolis to St. Cloud.

Vision statement: Kim Way described the strong components: government,
recreation and community user components. He asked "What should this
feel like?"

Chair Keith Wietecki clarified the vision and the alternatives to a
"downtown". Pat Johnson reported on a National League of Cities meeting
in Kansas City. The topic was revitalizing the city center. The retail uses
are auxiliary in the city center and will not solely support the public sector
uses.

Scott Bergs asked for clarification of the ancillary uses. There is a mix of
uses that help establish a sense of place. There should be an even split of
uses to support the public facilities.

Don Anderson noted that there are other areas in Roseville to serve retail
users. This site should be driven by government, recreation and
community center services.

Page 1 of5
