<br />Member Jan Vanderwall asked that the residents within the study area be considered a <br />focus group. <br /> <br />Kim Way explained his one-on-one interview process. He handed out a summary of the <br />interviews. <br /> <br />8. Demographics (John Carpenter) <br /> <br />John Carpenter summarized City and regional demographics for the Task Force. The <br />charge is to create a community focal point and John provided an "up-front" context of <br />Roseville. The strategic location of Roseville is considered a major asset. He reviewed <br />the regional labor force, consumer market and commercial core of Roseville, office and <br />warehouse development, residential development, public/institutions and park systems. <br />He reviewed the traffic counts at present and projected in 2010, regional development <br />with institutional and park activities along Lexington, <br /> <br />John Carpenter reviewed demographic changes from 1990 through 1998. <br /> <br />The population will change and continue to diversity, but seniors will continue to be 310/0 <br />or more; housing stock will add new multi-family. Ann Hermes noted that single family <br />homes have increased by 10% in value in the last year. Kim Way noted senior health <br />care may also be a focus of the community. Lois Lindquist asks that <br />multi/intergenerational housing and community facilities be included. <br /> <br />Schedule of Meetings: <br /> <br />Tour: November 7, 1998.
