<br />- <br /> <br />The Task Force is encouraged to access and utilize the resources of the Roseville <br />Community Development Department, Public Works Department and Parks and <br />Recreation Department and other agencies as part of the fact finding mission. The Task <br />Force also may choose to involve other residents of the City for infonnation. subgroups <br />and other work teams as needed. <br /> <br />REPORT <br /> <br />The Task Force work shall begin after the appointment process has been completed by <br />the City Council. A five phase process has been developed to formulate a master plan for <br />the city center. The first phase, development discovery, is underway and is expected to <br />be completed by December 1998, with the preparation of a draft report. It is anticipated <br />that the Task Force should complete its work by September 1999. <br /> <br />T :!' <br /> <br />SELECTION OF TASK FORCE COMMITTEE <br /> <br />The Task Force shall be composed of 9 to 15 members and follow the policy on creation <br />of Task Forces. The appointment of committee members will occur on August 24. 1998. <br />A solicitation process shall seek interest from various groups including: residents, <br />businesses, educational, civic or religious representatives, or property owners, Vista 2000 <br />Focus Group members, and persons involved in recent Task Force efforts in the City of <br />Roseville. The Council may wish to appoint a liaison member(s) from the City Council, <br />Planning Commission. <br /> <br />TASK FORCE CHAIR <br /> <br />The method of selection of a chairperson will be decided at a later date by the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />STAFF ASSISTANCE <br /> <br />The staff liaison to the Task Force will be Dennis Welsch, Community Development <br />Director. Bob Bierscheid, Director of Parks and Recreation and Karl Keel, Director of <br />Public Works will also be key resources on the project. <br /> <br />In advance, the City Council extends its thanks to each member of the Task Force for <br />your willingness to contribute your time and knowledge to the study and report. <br /> <br />Q:\Task Force ChllfRe,doc <br /> <br />3 <br />
