The Planning Commission continued <br />the matter on September 5 to allow the applicant to meet with the <br />neighborhood and give the neighborhood the opportunity to view <br />other similar structures in Shoreview. The commission, on October <br />3, 1990, unanimously recommended approval of the rezoning because it <br />is consistent with the policies of the City and past rezonings. <br />The Commission further unanimously recommended that the City <br />reevaluate its policy to consider rezoning of R-1 single family <br />residentially zoned parcels to R-2 two family rezonings anywhere in <br />the city during its review of the comprehensive plan. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: Motion to approve Richard Kettler/Mel <br />Buesseler request for rezoning at 1023 <br />Parker Avenue. <br /> <br />Motion to include evaluation of the <br />current policies concerning rezonings to <br />R-2 as part of the review of the housing <br />element of the comprehensive plan. <br />
