MIDLAND HILLS COUNTRY CLUB

t:~"~~
~
(Jt¡I1trp ,,\.~

ST. PAUL. MINNESOTA 55113 I 612·631·0440

September 25, 1990

City of Roseville
2660 Civic Center Drive
Roseville, MN 55113
Attn: Craig Waldron

Dear Mr. Waldron,

Early in September 1990, Midland Hills Country Club, 2001 Fulham St.
Roseville MN submitted a request to the City of Roseville for a building
permit to be issued for the construction of a 60 x 100' block structure
to attach to the present maintenance building.

It was determined that Ryan Avenue, a partially vacated street, would have
to be vacated in its entirety before the maintenance addition could be
started. The present maintenance building was built in 1959 and at that
time codes requiring 60' set backs from roadways were not required. Even
though the new addition would be set back 12' west and north from the
present building, by being attached, it in fact is out of compliance
with new building codes.

An application for vacation of Ryan Avenue was submitted on September 21,
1990 to the City of Roseville, Department of Planning and Code Enforce-
ment.

A request for a review of the application by the Planning and Code
Enforcement Department is being made, so that if any other items are
necessary to be presented to the Planning Coamission for its meeting,
they may be accomplished.

It would certainly be advantageous if construction could begin prior to
the winter freeze. Each weeks progress prior to January would certainly_-
aid the contractor in construction of the building.

If there is anything else necessary that Midland should do to expedite
the procedure from this end please let me know.

All the Best,

.~~

Mike Takach
