MEMORANDUM

DATE:
TO:

12 June 1991

Roseville Planning Commission

FROM:
RE:

John Shardlow, AICP
Signage Criteria for Rosedale Commons Shopping Center

When the City approved the Special Use Permit for the monument sign at the Rosedale
Commons Shopping Center, a condition of approval was that the developer return with a copy of
the signage criteria for the Center to be included in the City's files. There was discussion of
modifying the signage on the pavilions. Tanurb believed their tenant agreements were adequate,
but the City wanted a written document for the record.

The attached criteria appear reasonable and clearly written. The illustrations indicate sign
location and size that match City expectations. There is even a written disclaimer in the
criteria concerning "prohibited signs" that urges tenants to consult the the appropriate sections of
the City Zoning Code.

Dan Ross, representing Tanurb, will be present at the meeting to discuss the specifics of the
criteria and to answer any comments or questions the Planning Commission may have.
