Mr. Rick Jopke
Minnesota 11M Program
April 18, 1991
Page 2

Item c) We have removed all trees from the right-of-way, the watermain
easement, and the NSP easement.

Items d and e) We have investigated three options for the location of the storm
sewer. Option 1 - under the Minnesota Transfer Railroad, Option
2 - running north through two adjacent property owners, and
Option 3 - running east across Partridge Road and the north along
the street right-of-way adjacent to Mack Trucks. We feel that
Option 2 is the preferred solution and have illustrated Option 2 on
the drawings. Systems Control is pursuing an arrangement with
the adjacent property owners to the north for construction of the
storm sewer. The other two options, however, are also viable
alternatives and will be pursued if we run into a glitch on Option 2.

Item f) I have discussed the issue of removing the curb break that is shown on
the drainage plan with Systems Control and Sunde Engineering. We have
decided that the curb break is still the desired solution. Systems Control
is aware of the potential maintenance problem of ice forming during the
spring melt which would have to be removed. In addition even if some
unforseen condition caused temporary blockage of the curb break the
water could still run around the east and west ends of the island and then
into the catch basin.

Item g) We will conform to all City requirements for the watermain relocation.

I hope I have addressed all of your concerns and we look forward to submitting the
application for building permit.

If you have any additional questions or comments, please call.

Very truly yours,

-5EASSO~~

Jerry B.
