<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF A MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE, <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br />City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota, was duly held in the City <br />Hall at 2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, on June 26, 2001. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Goedeke, Mastel, Klausing, Maschka and <br />Kysylyczyn <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Klausing introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9902 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACTING CITY MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE DOCUMENTS REGARDING ACCEPTANCE AND <br />ADMINISTRATION OF THE US ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY <br />SUPPLEMENTAL ASSISTANCE FOR BROWNFIELDS ASSESSMENT <br />DEMONSTRATION PILOTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has approved a redevelopment plan for the <br />Twin Lakes Business Park which is included as part of the economic and redevelopment <br />section of the Comprehensive Plan amended and adopted in December, 1998; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a part of the redevelopment plan includes the construction of <br />infrastructure to enable redevelopment and alleviate existing County Roadway <br />congestion; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as part of the planning for the roadway the City of Roseville <br />conducted environmental assessments, site characterizations, and cleanup planning <br />along the Twin Lakes Parkway right-of-way using a US Environmental Protection <br />Agency Brownfield Assessment Demonstration Pilot; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has been granted further funding from the US <br />Environmental Protection Agency in the form of $150,000 in Supplemental Assistance; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville is prepared to conduct a regional groundwater <br />study of the entire Twin Lakes Redevelopment Area to protect groundwater resources, <br />streamline investigations of contamination, and ultimately accelerate redevelopment of <br />Twin Lakes; and <br />
