could be charged with recruiting, training, and placing individual volunteers <br />in a variety of settings; the person could also lead efforts to establish <br />activities and special events in the community which rely on volunteer <br />support and participation for their success. <br />2. Roseville Area Schools should consider how they might use the expertise of <br />community members in volunteering in the schools. <br />3. A Transportation Task Force should be established by the most appropriate <br />agency to identify actual resources and needs in this area, and to recommend <br />a course of action as required. A variety of stakeholders should be involved, <br />and the group disbanded at the end of its work. <br />4. The police department should build on its positive reputation by creating a <br />single new community outreach project, possibly with a focus on youth or <br />new immigrants. <br />5. Community partners should organize a"Community Commitment Day" to <br />emphasize a sense of community for the Roseville area. This could involve <br />block parties, neighborhood clean-up activities, or some other special <br />proj ects that would actively engage citizens of all ages throughout the area. <br />6. Community Education should evaluate how they could expand programming <br />in the following areas: more preschool and family opportunities; more art, <br />music, exercise, and swimming classes; more services for senior adults; <br />more education and job training for immigrants; and more activities for <br />youth. <br />CFL Task Force Final Report, February 2014 6 <br />
