Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday, March 24, 2014 <br /> Page 23 <br /> Roll Call (Friendly Amendment) <br /> Ayes: Willmus; Etten; McGehee; Laliberte; and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> Roll Call (Motion as Amended) <br /> Ayes: Willmus; Etten; McGehee; Laliberte; and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> Question 65 <br /> Given the problems experience this year, Councilmember McGehee spoke in sup- <br /> port of a question for residents to indicate whether they considered water and san- <br /> itary sewer services to be an essential service, similar to that provided by the Po- <br /> lice and Fire Departments. <br /> Councilmember Etten noted that Question 35 already asked for a rating on the <br /> quality of water and sewer services. <br /> Councilmember McGehee opined that she wanted the question to allow the resi- <br /> dent to give direction to the City as to whether it should be the City's responsibil- <br /> ity at some level to provide those services. <br /> Mayor Roe opined that this was a confusing question, since the City already pro- <br /> vided those services. <br /> Mayor Roe noted that there appeared to be no evident consensus to add that ques- <br /> tion. <br /> Questions 86 and 87 <br /> Councilmember Etten questioned whether the sources listed in Question 87 <br /> should be included in Question 86 as a reference. <br /> Mr. Bowman advised that his only concern was that he wanted to hear from re- <br /> spondents any other sources they might use primarily on their own rather than us- <br /> ing the list provided by the City. <br /> Councilmember Etten supported that rationale. <br /> Laliberte moved, Willmus seconded,final approval of the Morris Leatherman <br /> survey draft, as amended. <br /> Question 106 <br /> Councilmember Laliberte questioned how to address that information or provide <br /> choices for respondents. <br />
