<br />8.365. Motor Vehicle Rental and Leasinq Businesses. <br /> <br />Motor vehicle rental and leasing businesses, as tenants in <br />office and office service buildings, may be allowed through <br />the issuance of a special use permit in the B-IB, B-2, B-3,B-4 <br />and B-6 Zoning Districts. In the review of such applications, <br />it shall be determined that the storage of vehicles on the <br />premises shall be purely an accessory use, does not function <br />as display or advertising, and does not alter the appearance <br />and character of the property. <br /> <br />In addition to other conditions that may need to be attached <br />to these special use permits to ensure compliance with the <br />intent of this ordinance, motor vehicle rental and leasing <br />businesses shall conform to the following standards: <br /> <br />1) Small vehicles. For rental and leasing businesses, a <br />small vehicle is defined as a motor vehicle intended primarily <br />for passenger use and no taller than 7' -0" in height and no <br />longer than 20'-0" in length. <br /> <br />2) Large vehicles. For rental and leasing businesses, a <br />large vehicle is defined as any motor vehicle other than a <br />small vehicle. <br /> <br />3) The number of parking spaces on site for rental vehicles <br />shall be above and beyond the number required by the City for <br />employees of the rental or leasing business and for other uses <br />on the site or in the same building. <br /> <br />4) All maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, all equipment <br />for maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, and all trailers, or <br />other equipment or devices used for transporting vehicles, <br />shall be completely within the principle building or <br />completel~ screened from eye-level of adjacent public streets, <br />residential areas, and from other tenant spaces if the use is <br />in a multi-tenant building. <br /> <br />5) storage of vehicles shall not interfere with the safe and <br />efficient access and circulation of vehicles and pedestrians <br />on site. <br /> <br />6) If located in an office building, only small vehicles may <br />be rented or leased, and the parking spaces, signage, and <br />other visible evidence of the rental or leasing business shall <br />be compatible with the office setting. <br />
