Paul Hicks lives at the home at 1746 N. Hamline Avenue, owned <br />by the Nazarene Church. <br /> <br />2 . The south side of the lot abuts a portion of Ione street, <br />between Hamline Avenue and the apartment property behind. <br /> <br />3 . Ione Street is not needed since the apartments take access <br />off of Dellwood Avenue. <br /> <br />4. Pastor Hicks is requesting the vacation of a 15 foot wide <br />portion of Ione Street right-of-way in order to put in a new <br />driveway that allows easier access to the garage on the site. <br /> <br />5. The Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of <br />Paul Hicks request for vacating 15 feet of the north side of <br />the Ione street right-of-way adjacent to 1746 N. Hamline <br />Avenue with the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. The new driveway opening and driveway be built to city <br />standards, including a 5 foot setback to the relocated <br />Ione street right-of-way. <br /> <br />2. That the new driveway be designed to include a backup <br />space allowing cars to maneuver properly and head out <br />onto Hamline Avenue. <br /> <br />Alternatives: <br /> <br />1. Deny the vacation request based on the need to maintain the <br />right-of-way. <br /> <br />2. Vacate the total right-of-way. <br /> <br />3. Vacate the portion of the right-of-way as requested in this <br />application. <br />
