<br />Losing our buffer space is not a pleasing prospect. It was <br />granted through negotiation--give and take. This second variance <br />request is all take. <br /> <br />There was one suggestion at the meeting that both Mr. Filister <br />and the neighborhood agreed on--using the space for a park. The <br />nearest part of Central Park in our neighborhood is the watery <br />bird sanctuary part. Important to have, but not as usable as <br />are other parts of Central Park. The neighborhood uses Acorn <br />Park and the prospect of losing space for a golf course hasn"t <br />excited people. Here is a chance to add some green space. <br />People walk on the mowed part of the berm. The children use the <br />space for games in the summer and for sliding in the winter. <br /> <br />We would like to suggest that a better use for this space would <br />be for parkland. Please consider this. <br /> <br />2 <br />
